Meet Pastor Dave Bush
Rev. David Preston Bush received a master of divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary-West in Escondido, California, in 1999. From mid-1999 to mid-2000, he served a pastoral internship under Pastor Roger Wagner at Bayview Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Chula Vista. He served as intern at Trinity OPC in Novato in 1998 and at Covenant OPC in San Jose in 1997. He was the featured speaker at the Northern California Presbytery Youth Camp in the summer of 2000. He served as interim pastor at Oak Hill during the summer of 2001, between assignments as a teacher at Covenant Christian School in Chula Vista. Prior to entering seminary, Mr. Bush was a businessman in the San Jose area. He received a liberal arts degree from West Valley College in 1984. He was ordained as a minister of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church on January 11, 2002, at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Jennifer are parents of six children.
Pastor Dave also serves the community as chaplain for the Sonora Police Department and Toulumne County Sheriff's Department.
